28th September 2025

Sixteenth Sunday after Pentecost

O God, you declare your almighty power chiefly in showing mercy and pity: Grant us the fullness of your grace, that we, running to obtain your promises, may become partakers of your heavenly treasure; through Jesus Christ our Lord, who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit, one God, for ever and ever. Amen.

Ordinary Time in the Christian calendar refers to the periods outside of the major liturgical seasons like Advent, Christmas, Lent, and Easter. It's a time for reflecting on Jesus' teachings and ministry, and for living out the Christian faith in everyday life. The liturgical color for Ordinary Time is green, symbolizing growth and new life.
